5-Day Faculty Development Program on Research Proposals Concludes at AKS University

135 Faculty Members and Researchers Participated Actively

Satna, May 05, 2026:

A 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) and hands-on workshop titled “Transforming Research Ideas into Funded Projects” was successfully concluded at AKS University, Satna. The program was jointly organized by the Centre for Research Innovation, Incubation and Skill Development (CRIISD), Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and the Directorate of Research. A total of 135 faculty members and research scholars from across the country actively participated in the program.


The program commenced on May 01, 2026, with inspiring addresses by Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Anant Kumar Soni and Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.A. Chopade. The program introduction was delivered by Prof. Kamlesh Choure, while the welcome address was given by Prof. Neeraj Verma. On the first day, Dr. Surajbhan Sevda (National Institute of Technology, Warangal) delivered a lecture on “India’s Research Funding Ecosystem and Idea Transformation,” providing insights into major funding agencies such as DBT, DST, ICAR, and CSIR.


On the second and third days, Dr. Vishal Mishra (Indian Institute of Technology, BHU) provided detailed guidance on research proposal structure, problem identification, research methodology, budget planning, timeline development, and presentation strategies.


On the fourth day, participants prepared their own research proposals as part of self-learning activities, which were evaluated by experts. On the final day, May 05, 2026, an offline practical workshop was conducted at Vivekananda Auditorium, where Dr. G. Shrinivas (Indira Gandhi National Open University, Goa Regional Centre) provided hands-on training to participants.
The program included practical sessions on identifying research problems, defining methodologies, proposal writing, budget planning, and coordination with funding agencies. During the valedictory session, certificates were distributed to participants, followed by a vote of thanks

The successful organization of the program was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the coordinators and conveners: Dr. Neeraj Verma, Dr. Priyanka Rani Bagri, Dr. C.P. Singh, Dr. Vivek Agnihotri, and Dr. Kamlesh Choure.
This program proved to be a significant initiative in promoting research and innovation, and in empowering faculty members and researchers to develop high-quality research proposals.
