Prof. G.K. Pradhan presides over the inaugural technical session, illuminating “The Challenges and Solutions in Underground Mining”
In the resplendent city of Kolkata, from October 30 to November 2, the Asian Mining Congress and International Mining Machinery Exhibition unfurled as a grand confluence of intellect, innovation, and industrial brilliance. Amidst this global congregation of over one hundred and fifty technical discourses—where voices from across continents resonated—AKS University, Satna, etched its mark of excellence and inquiry.
Representing the university’s academic vanguard, Professor G.K. Pradhan graced the dais as Chair of the inaugural technical session. With scholarly precision and visionary depth, he delivered a compelling exposition on “Technological Challenges and Their Solutions in Underground Mining.”
He illuminated the hidden struggles of the subterranean world—where as the depths increase, rock pressure mounts like a silent adversary, air and gas management becomes a battle of endurance, and machines move within narrow confines of darkness and danger. To these trials of the deep, he offered the light of modernity: remote-operated machinery, real-time monitoring systems, smart ventilation networks, and AI-driven surveying innovations—each a testament to human ingenuity reclaiming mastery over the earth itself.
Accompanying him were Placement Officer Balendra Vishwakarma, Mining Department’s Akash Gupta, and a contingent of forty aspiring students, who immersed themselves in the living laboratory of global technology. From the gleam of state-of-the-art mining machines to the hum of international collaboration, they witnessed the fusion of learning and application in its purest form.
This participation stands as a milestone in AKS University’s pursuit of research, innovation, and industry synergy—a luminous chapter in its journey toward global excellence. The university administration, with pride and joy, hailed this achievement as a symbol of its commitment to transform knowledge into progress and vision into reality.
